Recently, we had the opportunity to transform a builder-grade bathroom in Georgetown, TX, into a high-end retreat for Angela Rogers. She came to us with a clear design goal but discovered new possibilities along the way.
Today, Andrew Poe sits down with Angela to talk about the renovation journey.
What made you decide to renovate your bathroom?
"I built my home in 2021 when supply chain issues were a problem. I had to settle for what was available, and my bathroom ended up being pretty basic. It worked, but it just did not feel like me."
"I also noticed a mildew smell. I was not sure if there was a bigger issue, so I figured if I was going to improve the style, I might as well make sure everything was built to last."
What was the first step in the process?
"A friend recommended you, so I called you to check out the space. I already had a Pinterest board and a mood board ready to go."
"What stood out to me was how you did not just follow a plan. You actually helped refine my ideas. You made suggestions I had not considered, but everything fit my vision perfectly."

What kind of design decisions did you make? How did we help guide you?
"I had the final say on everything, but your recommendations made the whole design feel elevated."
Some of my favorite details:
- Brass Schluter trim - I did not even know that was an option, but it gave everything a polished look.
- Herringbone tile - You suggested running it up the back of the shower wall, which became a statement piece.
- Raw wood windowsill - It added warmth and contrast that I had not considered.

How did we make the renovation process stress-free?
"Honestly, the communication was amazing. Your team showed up on time every day, and you gave me daily updates."
"The only issue we ran into was that the shower pan from the original builder was not up to quality and had to be replaced. You were upfront about it, let me know it would take an extra day or two, and still made sure I had a working bathroom on time."

How has the remodel changed your daily life?
"At first, I was just going to remodel the bathroom. But then you suggested extending the stained concrete flooring into my bedroom and closet."
"That one suggestion completely changed the space. It looks intentional, like it was always meant to be this way."
